A World Read Aloud Day Visit with Mrs. Meucci’s Crew!

Last week I was super pumped to visit Mrs. Meucci’s class and read Mr. Walker Steps Out with them for World Read Aloud Day! Mrs. Meucci is the mega-awesome fourth-grade teacher who refused to skip her weekly storytime with her students, even the day after her own brain surgery (!!). Since becoming connected in this strange and special way through my book, Mrs. Meucci and I have gotten to talk and email several times, and now was my chance to meet her students too!

After we read the book, the students asked me lots of questions about writing, and even told me about some of their favorite books. (The class is currently reading Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling, which they highly recommended—onto my reading list it goes!)

It was such a treat to meet Mrs. Meucci’s class and get to share a story with them! If you’re interested in having me visit with your class, be sure to check out my author visits info page!

Happy reading, everyone!

Lisa
